Grandma Marvel was a self taught, talented musician, artist & writer. she played the Dobro slide guitar, violin, organ, acoustic guitar & banjo- her skill at drawing faces earned her a letter of thanks from FDR for a portrait she drew of him. During WWII she played for the USO.. She loved to travel.
