Sarah Eaton, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Hoskins) Eaton was born in Plymouth. Her birth was not registered and the Mayflower Families book did not estimate her birth.[1] 1672 is based on an age of 40 when her last child was born.
She married Eleazer Rickard before the birth of their first child, who was recorded born in 1688, but was probably born in 1698. Eleazer was the son of Giles and Hannah (Dunham) Rickard. He died after a 23 Jan 1735/6 deed.[1]
29 Nov 1708 Eleazer and wife Sarah sold land.[1]
15 Oct 1711 Eleazer Rickard of Plimton sold to Jeduthan Robbins his share of the undivided land in Plimton and Plymouth that he bought of "my Honoured Father Benjamin Eaton Senr of Plimton." [1]
15 May 1719 Ephraim Little of Plymouth was chosen guardian of Sarah Rickard, the daughter of Elazer Rickard of Plympton; Sarah was over 14 and under 21.[1] (note: I've only seen this in the case of fathers dying, guardians are appointed to care for the estate. But the source says he died after 1735/6)[2]
There are no probate records for Eleazer or Sarah Rickard.[1] Sarah died after 14 June 1712, the birth of her youngest child.
Children of Eleazer and Sarah (Eaton) Rickard. 1st three b. Plymouth; last three b. Plympton [3][4][1]
