Biography

Joseph was born in 1895 to Joseph Eaton and Mary McPherson. He married Eleanor Greenwood Sept. 15, 1926 at St. Peter's, Eaton Square, London, England. He died at age 32 in 1928 in Leysin, Switzerland. Joseph was buried at Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery at Summit Co., Ohio with many of his family.

Notes on Joseph: He was educated first at Woodstock College, Woodstock, Ontario where he was graduated in 1915. In Dec. 1915 he joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force where he held the rank of lieutenant, but on account of illness he was discharged from this force in Nov. 1916. He then returned to McMaster, the University of Chicago and Harvard. He graducated in 1920. He was a Investment Banker for 3 years before he resigned due to ill health and went to Switzerland. It is written that Joseph was a fellow of great refinement and much social charm. Joseph died a year and a half after his marriage to Eleanor. No children.
