Different sources give her birth either as about 1394 in Lambeth, Norfolk, or about 1402 in Etchingham, Ticehurst, Sussex. Both are probably too late. Elizabeth's first marriage took place in 1414. If she were 17 at the time, her birthdate would be no later than 1397. Her first husband was born say 1363 which would make him considerably older in any event. Add three years, make her 20, and go with the 1394 birthdate, place unknown.
Elizabeth's father was of Sir William Echyngham, born c 1370, and d. 20 Mar 1413, son of Sir William de Echingham and Elizabeth and her mother was Alice Batisford, born circa 1372 at Buckholt, Bexhill, Sussex, England. They married after 1 September 1404, and had two daughters, Elizabeth and Joan. [3][4]
Elizabeth Echeringham married (1st) Thomas Hoo, Knt. [5]
She was Thomas Hoo's second wife. He had previously been married before 18 Feb 1394/5 (date of demise) to Eleanor Felton, widow of Robert de Ufford, Knt (living 7 Jan 1389/90, died before 1393. Eleanor was daughter and co-heiress of Thomas de Felton, K. G. She was born about 1361 (aged 20 in 1381) Eleanor died 8 August 1400. [5]
According to Harl. MS, his 2nd wife was Elizabeth, daughter of William de Etchingham, by whom he had issue, a son (another) Thomas Hoo, mentioned in the will of Lord Hoo as his brother, which will also refers to "mylady Lewkenore my mother in lawe" (sic--step mother), the said Elizabeth Wychingham having married, 2ndly, Sir Thomas Lewkenor. [6]
Thomas Hoo's birth date is not found, but he married his 1st wife before 18 Feb 1394/5, and if was 21 in 1394, then his estimated date of birth would be 1373. However, his first wife Eleanor was already a widow when they married, age 20 in 1381, and therefore born in 1361. This would suggest an earlier birth date for Thomas Hoo, say, 1360. However, Thomas Hoo's mother was born in 1343, and so a compromise guess for Thomas' birthdate would be 1363, when his mother would have been 20.
The marriage of Elizabeth Echingham to Thomas Hoo took place after 15 Jan 1414/1415. [5]
They had one son, Thomas, Esq.
Sir Thomas Hoo died 23 August 1420. [5]
Elizabeth then married (2nd), after 2 October 1421 and before Michaelmas 1426 (as his 2nd wife) Sir Thomas Lewknor, Knt, of Horsted Keynes, Sussex, Sheriff of Surrey & Sussex, Burgess of Lewes etc.
Elizabeth Echingham and Sir Thomas Lewknor had 8 children -- 5 sons and 3 daughters:[5]Dates of birth are those shown in the children's profiles.

Elizabeth's birthdate as shown precedes the marriage date for either of the wives, and Margaret's birth location raises questions. Sir Thomas Lewknor, Sheriff of Surrey & Sussex, Burgess of Lewes was born circa 1392 at of Horsted Keynes, Sussex, England; Age 12 in 1404, 19 in 1411.

Sir Thomas Lewknor, Sheriff of Surrey & Sussex, Burgess of Lewes died on 22 June 1452 at of Stoke Doyle, Northamptonshire, England. [7] [8]
Richard Lewkenor (possibly son of Thomas Lewkenor), according to CPVI:564 note (f), was in a lawsuit with Thomas' heirs and was esquire of Wartling, Sussex, which Elizabeth must have had as dowry, and passed onto her son by Thomas.
Elizabeth left a will dated 21 March 1450, proved 23 Feb 1464 (P. C. C. 8 and 59 Godyn).[5]

They had one son, Thomas, Esq. He fought at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415 [5]" Impossible! The Battle of Agincourt must refer to his half brother, also Thomas, by his father's first marriage
