Biography

Robert Eddington was born around 1858 to parents William and Jane (Tanner) Eddington in England.

His family moved to Canada sometime before 1871.

Robert was thirteen and attending school during the 1871 Canada Census. He lived in Normanby in the Grey South District of Ontario with his widowed mother Jane and siblings Emily, William, George, and James. The family were members of the Church of England.

Robert died on September 24, 1881 at age 24. He was buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Grey County, Ontario, Canada. A photo of his headstone is here [1].
