Jerusha was born in 1810. She married Anson Carrier, also of Oneida, about 1829. He was 16 or 17 at the time. Anson and Jerusha for the most part farmed in Oneida County between 1830 and 1876. They were absent from Oneida in 1850 and after the other Carriers (John and Elias) left for Jefferson County, Anson may have had to try farming or some other trade elsewhere for a while. One possibility may be Wisconsin where Jabez Carey married Anson and Jerusha's daughter Ellen about 1856 or 1857. Two sons, Abner and Milton, remained in Oneida in 1850. Anson and Jerusha were back in Oneida by 1860. Anson died in 1876 in Floyd. Jerusha live with her son Milton and his family until he died in 1881 and then went to live with daughter Julia Carrier Webster until she died in Wisconsin in 1893. Her gravestone at Hebron Cemetery is shared with Anson and he may be reinterred there. (New information added by Grady Loy 28 August 2015 [1]
