Biography

Elizabeth is the daughter of Richard Eden and Mary Unknown. Her parents arrived in NZ in 1843 with two small children but her birth was not registered in NZ, She married Charles Price in 1872 .^[1] Price— Eden.— -December 24, at St. Michael's Church, Waimea West, by the Rev. W. D. Rusz, Mr. Charles Price, of Wairaea West, to Elizabeth Eden, of Waimea East ^[2] Waimea West is now known as Brightwater

Research Note

There were three children's births registered to Mary and Richard Eden in NZ: in 1849, 1852, and 1854 --all un-named. From their death registrations, these years tie up with the ages of her brothers William, Samuel, and George, respectively. Elizabeth was NOT registered in NZ, but this does not mean she wasn't born there like her other siblings I will need to find her death records, from among the many Elizabeth Price's who lived in NZ in her life-time before confirming her actual birth year
