I admit I have no supporting evidence on this Thomas Edwards. There are several possibilities. I will see if I can contact a direct descendant in my family-in-law for details.

Incorrect parents need to be removed. Thomas Edwards, son of Andrew Edwards and Phoebe Meador, was born 1798 in VA. His age was 53 when he gave deposition on 7 June 1851 in Laurens County, SC in file for Andrew Edwards Rev War pension app.

Andrew and Phoebe's son Thomas Edwards died in Laurens County, SC before 23 May 1862 when his son Manning Edwards filed bond as administrator of the estate. See Laurens County South Carolina estate records, Box 141 - Pkg 3 1862.

This profile here (Edwards-9329) is for a totally different man. The wife, children , dates and locations here are all incorrect for Thomas Edwards who was the son of Andrew Edwards and Phoebe Meador.
