The News-Journal, Thursday, November 29, 1951 Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Bird Pike, 78 years of age, were held Thursday, November 22 at 2 p.m. from the Edelen & Lyon Funeral Home with the Rev. Felix Sanders in charge of the services. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Luther Patterson, Houston Hartfield, Shelby Pike, James Curry, Towler Parrott and Charlie Pike. Mrs. Pike, daughter of the late John and Sarah Edwards Neagles, was born August 10, 1873 in Green County, Ky. She died Tuesday, November 20 at 2:30 a.m. at her home on North First St., in Campbellsville. She had been in ill health for quite some time. She united in marriage to Jefferson Curry, some 60 years ago. He preceded her in death in 1942. In 1943 she united in marriage to George L. Pike, who survives. She is also survived by one son and one daughter, Thomas A. Curry, of Campbellsville and Mrs. Albirdia Spillman of Green County. She is also survived by three half-brothers, Silas Neagles, Crudge Neagles, and Ed Neagles, all of Green County; also nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
