Biography

Rees B. Edwards was born circa July 14, 1892, in Oak Hill, Ohio, to Margaret S. Jones and Daniel N. Edwards.^[1][2][3]

As a youth, Rees lived on a farm east of Oak Hill, where he helped his father and brother with the farm work.^[4] Later, he moved into town, living with his mother and a brother on Lincoln Street. In 1930, Rees was working as a salesman for a local hardware store, while brother David was a shoe salesman.^[5]

By 1940, brother Nathaniel was living with Rees, who still lived on Lincoln Street. Nathaniel supported himself by running a private painting business; Rees was still a hardware salesman.^[6]

On February 21, 1942, in Jackson County, Ohio, Rees married Jennie Louise Davis.^[7]

Rees died on November 14, 1960, in Oak Hill. He is buried in Oak Hill Calvinistic Methodist Cemetery.^[8][9]
