Martin Monroe Edwards (May 6, 1901 - February 3, 2000) was the son of Ivey Edwards Jennie Robinson. He was born in Mountain Creek, Catawba County, North Carolina, USA.

As of the 1920 Census, Martin was 18 years old and living at home with his parents and 8 siblings.

Martin married Floe Sherrill on November 15, 1924 in Catawba Co, North Carolina. He was 23 and she was 22 years old.

Martin and his wife Flow (Floe)'s son Paul Monroe Edwards was born May 23, 1925.
