In 1824, he was granted a license to trade in Arkansas Territory, by Indian Agent George Gray. [2]
In 1850 Meredith Edwards is enumerated with his wife, Sarah, and six of his children, John, William, George, Martha, Thomas, and Meredith, in Vinyard, Washington, Arkansas. [3]
In 1860, he was enumerated with his wife, Sarah, three of his children, George, Thomas, and Meredith, and two granddaughters , Johnanna and Isabelle Blagg in Anderson, Benton, Arkansas. The two granddaughters were mistakenly listed as Johneann and Isabelle Edwards. [4]
