The name at the top of the page appears to me to be Nathan, not Joshua - compare to the Joshua listed as one of the children - which means this James is son of Nathan and Rebecca, right?
edit - Or not. Looking again, the first letter of the first name & the J in John look the same. The s as an f is unusual - usually ss is written fs, not sh as fh, which it seems to be here.
