Biography
John Edwards was born in Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England.
John was baptised August 27, 1843 in Drybrook, Gloucestershire. He is the son of John Edwards and Ellen Baldwin. [1]
In 1861 John was one of 8 children living with parents John and Ellen near Upper Lydbrook. His father John was a Collier. [2]
In 1865 John married Amelia Woolley. Their marriage was registered in Westbury on Severn. [3] Amelia died aged 46 in 1890.
On 30th July 1893 John married again, to widow Mary Ann Southern (nee Davis). John was a Collier as was his father John. Mary Ann's father William was a Labourer. [4]
John died aged 69 in 1912. He was buried at Lydbrook on 23rd June. [5]
