Biography

William, the son of George Eggleston and his wife, Mary, was baptised at Foston on the Wolds, Yorkshire on the 18th of April 1738. [1] On the 9th of September 1763 he married Mary Bradley in Bridlington. [2]

He died at Kilham on the 15th of June 1824 and was buried at All Saints on the 17th. [3]

"In memory of Mary Eggleston the wife of William Eggleston of Kilham who departed this life........March 1817.................................Also William Eggleston husband of the above Mary who died June 15th 1824 aged 86 years. He was a good mathematician and a lover of learning." [4]

William was born before 1738. He was the son of George Eggleston and Mary unknown. He passed away about 1800.
