Biography

Born in , USA on 1777 to George Elder and Sarah Vogan. James married Sarah Worley and had 10 children. He came to Cumberland Valley with his parents from Huntington Co. in 1781 in 1854 moved family to Mahoning County, Ohio He passed away on 1863 in , USA.

He was the son of George Elder and Sarah Vogan.

JAMES ELDER, son of George and Sarah (Vogan) Elder. Died on Homestead farm in Cumberland Valley Tp., Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and is buried in the Family Cemetery on the Farm. Married to SARAH WORLEY.[1]

ten children : Sarah (Haney), Rebecca, George, William, Rachel, Susan (Anderson), Achor, John, Samuel and James.[2]
