Biography

Robert, christened on 7 July 1780 at Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, was the son of Robert and Margaret (Stewart) Elder.^[1]

On 18 August 1802, Robert married Margaret Cuthbert in Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland,^[2] and by her had son Charles, who was born 30 December 1804, also in Edinburgh Parish.^[3] It is unknown whether additional children were born to this marriage.

The date of Robert's death and location of his burial are unknown.
