Hannah Elder was born on 4 October 1777 in Gorham, Maine. Her parents were Samuel Elder and Hannah (Freeman) Elder[1].
She married Joseph Brown on 28 October 1798 in Gorham[2].
After Joseph's death, Hannah married Elkanah Harding on 14 March 1802 in Gorham, Maine[3]. They had eight children[4]:
1. Samuel, born 5 Jun 1803; died 1822
2. Joseph B., born 14 May 1805; married Mary Ann Melcher
3. Freeman, born 1 Aug 1807; married 1st Frances Huston, 2nd Jane Mosher
4. Martha K., born 7 Oct 1809; married Samuel Freeman
5. George K., born 9 Aug 1811; married Lavina Boody
6. Sarah A., born 25 Oct 1813; married William Morris
7. Eunice M., born 4 May 1816; married Winslow Hall
8. Charles W., born 10 Sep 1818; married Jane (Hanson) Woodford
Hannah passed away on 19 July 1828 in Gorham[5] and is buried in Sapling Hill Cemetery[6].
