Biography

Mary Ann Elliot was born circa 1821 in Ireland. [1].

Place of Birth - previously stated as New South Wales but Unconfirmed !

She married Francis Stephen Norris, 14 Jun 1845, St Matthews Catholic, Windsor, New South Wales, Australia [2] and their 7 children were:

  1. Christopher John (1846-1925)
  2. Harriet (Norris) Marshall (1848-????)
  3. Maria (Norris) Streeter (1850-1913)
  4. Francis (1853-????)
  5. Patrick Joseph (1855-????)
  6. William (1857-1864)
  7. John (1860-1879).

Their son William died aged 7 years and son John died aged 19 years.

Mary died on 24 December 1903 aged (82 yrs), at Windsor, New South Wales, Australia [3] and was buried at St Matthew's Catholic Cemetery, Windsor, New South Wales, Australia with her husband and two sons William and John, and her son Christopher was buried with the family 22 years later. [4].
