Their hearts were broken so Arvid said that Margaret could live with them to help them with their grief. He would not let the Petersen's adopt her. Arvid and family lived in Omaha. He went downtown to pay bills one day on a streetcar and died enroute. When Margaret was supposed to start school the parents went to Lincoln and brought her home to Omaha. She was broken hearted as she loved living with the Petersen's who she called "Mama" and "Papa". After her father died her Mother got sick and passed away and so she got to go back to Lincoln and live with the Petersen's which made her very happy. John Petersen had a son Carl who married and lived in Texas. Both he and his wife are buried in Texas. Margaret married Charles Eliot 6-26-1948 and they have two adopted children Roger and Marilyn. They live in Omaha Charles 12-2-1910 Margaret 7-12-1913 Roger 12-1-1948 Marilyn 10-30-1950 John and Alma Petersen are buried in Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska.
