William was baptised in 1751 at Bakewell, Derbyshire, the son of Edward Elliot and his wife Esther.[1] On 26 Sep 1772 he married Mary Morley. He was 21 and she was 19.[2] Sadly, he fell from his horse 15 weeks later and died.[3]
