Baptism

On 7 Sep 1831 Hannah Elliott, of South Shields, daughter of Joseph (mariner) & Mary Elliott was baptised at South Shields, St Hilda. ^[1] Note that a sister Margaret was baptised on the same day although she presumably did not survive as there is another one in 1835.

Marriage

The marriage between Robert Simpson and Hannah Elliot was registered in the 2nd quarter of 1859 in the South Shields district. ^[2]

1861 Census

Robert and Hannah were living behind Ingham Place in Newcastle in 1861 with their baby son Robert. ^[3]
