Biography

Thomas was born in Virginia in 1802 to John Elliott and Mildred Maclin. ^[1] He moved to Tennessee and first married Margaret Jane Miller ^[2] ; they had two known children, Mary Ellen Elliott and Isaac P Elliott.

Thomas married Jane Rushing in 1837. ^[3] They had at least 7 children, all born in Tennessee. ^{[4] [5]}
