Biography

Agnes "Effie" Elliott was born in 1883. She is the daughter of Thomas Elliott and Marion Mitchell.

She married firstly, James Elliott Matheson of Scotland. They settled at Rock and Pillar where James worked as a Runholder until his death in 1922. They had two known children in their marriage, Christina and Murdo.

After James death Agnes moved to Timaru and in 1928 married again to George McDonald, Shop Assistant.

Agnes died age 77 and is buried at Middlemarch Cemetery, Otago. BLK 2 PLOT 13.[1]
