Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the Help section or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Hello WikiTree Community. I am Ernie Elliott. I am looking to build an indepth family tree to follow my roots and create a family history book for my family members. I am hoping that with the help of this community I can create such a book and find important information about my families past. I have for the past few years highly enjoyed researching my family tree but have come to a stand still as I have come across a number of different branches and I am not sure which way to go. So I thank you in advance for any help given and look forward to chatting with people in this community.

If you just want to look things up, or upload a GEDCOM for match, you do not need to take further actions.

If you want to contribute to WikiTree (add profiles, collaborate etc.), you must sign up as a volunteer. Doing so I will ask you to tell a little about your plans on your profile page. Do not volunteer unless you plan to contribute please!

After volunteering you can sign the HONOR CODE. You'll then become a full member and can help grow WikiTree through participation in the community. WikiTree also have MENTORS in case you need guidance.
