Sir Gilbert Eliott of Stobs, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir William Eliott of Stobs, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Scott. [2] He married Eleanor Elliot, daughter of William Elliot of Wells, in Roxburghshire on 14th April 1702.
They had had eight sons -
