Biography

John was born about 1878. He passed away in 1960.

John Elliott, age 3 was in the household of Angus McPhee, age 70 in Lot 67 in 1881. Also living with Angus were Flora Nicholson, 28 and John Nicholson, age 30. [1] In 1891, he was age 13, and was Angus' grandson.

He was in Bangor, Maine when he married Rebecca B. Rogers, nee Smythe on 23 October 1899. [2] On this record John said his parents, Robert Elliott and Flora McPhee were both dead, and that both had been born on Prince Edward Island.

In 1910, John said he had emigrated to the United States in 1897. He was a mason.

According to his obituary, he was born in Elliott's Mills, Prince Edward Island, the son of Robert and Christina (McPhee) Elliott. [3]
