Biography

Rose was born in 1869. Although most records show her birth year as 1871 or 1872, she appears in the July 1870 census, age 2/12. Based on the April month in the 1900 US Census, I've pegged this as April 1869, but it could very well be May. Although most of the siblings appear in the New Orleans Birth Records, Rosalie does not appear to.

Worked as stenographer and was single, per her death cert.

"ELLIOTT - On Saturday, July 1, 1933, at 5 am, ROSALIE ELLIOTT, daughter of the late Margaret Landry and Patrick H Elliott, sister of Mrs Geo A Frilot and William Elliott. Services at the funeral home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, Inc, 4127 S Claiborne avenue, near Milan street, Sunday afternoon, July 2, 1933, at 3 o'clock, followed by services at Mater Dolorosa church, Carrollton avenue and Plum street. St Margaret's Circle of Mater Dolorosa church are invited to attend. Intement in St Patrick's cemetery No. 3."
