Biography
Martha Elliott was born about 1835 in North Carolina. She married James Clayton on 9 Dec 1858 in Stanly County, North Carolina.[1]
In 1880, Martha was listed as the 45 year old wife of James Clayton, a 61 year old farmer living in Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina, with four children presumed to be issue of the couple:[2]
She is buried in the Elliott Family Cemetery, Albemarle, North Carolina.[4]
Research Notes
The gedcom import included a middle initial of "P."[4] No sources were included nor have been found to date (12 Mar 2016). More research is needed.
