Research Notes

Unable to locate sources for this profile on FamilySearch. Although a Caleb Ellis does appear in Edwin's household in the 1901 census, it is Edwin's brother born in 1830.[1]

In Ancestry.com Caleb appears in a family tree but the only source for his existence is the incorrect use of the 1901 census which looks like a ten year old but is actually Edwin Ellis's 70 year old brother. I suspect that this Caleb Ellis does not existRodgers-4539 12:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Ellis-10064 and Ellis-10063 do not represent the same person because: Different parents....there were a number of Calebs born in that area too

Ellis-10064 and Ellis-10063 appear to represent the same person because: Ellis-10063 appears to have been created due to a misreading of the census form and no other sources for it have been found.
