Freeman Ellis was born circa 1661, the son of Lt John Ellis and Elizabeth Freeman of Sandwich, Massachusetts[1][2].
He moved with his mother to the town now called Rochester while he was a child, and is listed among those who took the oath of fidelity and served on a committee in 1681[3][4][1]
Freeman's wife was Mercy Unknown[2], who may have been related to the Winslow family, based on land ownership and naming patterns [1]
Some online family trees indicate his wife was Mercy, the daughter of Kenelm Winslow, who married Malatiah White circa 1705 and had a child on March 17, 1706[5]. This information is inconsistent with the facts. Since Mercy Ellis was Freeman's wife when he wrote his will in 1710 and when it was proved in 1728, she could not have been Mercy Winslow, the wife of Malatiah White.
Mordecai, born October 7, 1702[14], who married Margaret Swain, daughter of Joseph[1][2]
Eleanor, born September 7, 1703[15], who married Stephen Swain, son of John[1][2]
Mercy, born about 1705[16], no further record found.[1][2]
His death occurred sometime after 4 April 1716, when he witnessed his brother William's will[17] , and June 20, 1728, when his own will was proved. His will was dated August 4, 1710[18][1]. His will named his wife Mercy and four sons, Joel, Ebenezer, Mordecai, and Gideon, and mentions daughters but does not name them[19][18][1] His inventory was taken on 7 August 1728 in Rochester.[20]

I agree with David Douglass below. Last month I added sources and a public comment. Since none of the profile managers involved responded to my comment, I have today added notes to the profiles of Freeman, his wife and Mercy Winslow Freeman, and created Mercy Unknown for Freeman Ellis wife. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about this change!
His daughter Mercy was thought to have been born in 1705. This was his last child of record. Additional evidence shows that Mercy Winslow Freeman had remarried to Matatiah White abt 1706 or before. White and Mercy are documented as having a son named Matatiah White Jr by 1706/1707. (the source below is of unknown reliability but Malatiah White Mercy;s 2nd husband died by 1709 so it would seem to be fairly accurate)
White and Mercy are indicated as having 2 or 3 earlier children but this is questionable as the dates of several of the Ellis children overlap. See doc in profile for Mercy Winslow Jenkins for more information. Perhaps the earlier White children were from a previous marriage, however no evidence has been found to support this.

1. her mother's 10 July 1727 discharge of her estate, see Mary (Worden) Burgess (abt.1639-bef.1724), clearly mentioned a daughter named "Mercy Elles" or "Mercy Elees".
There is some apparent confusion over Freeman Ellis' death date, but there ought not be. His will was dated 1710, and his widow was named executor in April of 1728. The 1688 date cited elsewhere is quite apparently in error.
