William Ellis died in 1716. His will was dated April 4, 1716, and proved June 20, 1716[3]. It is witnessed by his brother Freeman, notes his wife Lydia, notes his sons Nathan, Seth, Abner, Stephen, Jesse and Barnabas, his daughters Jerusha and Jedidah[3][1][4]
