Biography
Janet was the daughter of Charles Ellis and Gertrude Annie Stroud.
She married in 1943 to a Soldier, Ted (Edward Percival) Jenkins in 1943.
Ted Jenkins remained in the army until the mid 50's.
He and Janet settled at Takaka, with 9 children being born during their marriage.
Janet Jenkins died age 77 in Takaka and is buried at Rototai Cemetery. BLK A ROW II PLOT 26.[1]

Nigel Jenkins
ted jenkins was a strong and bigoted person with strong convictions. i.e anti catholic.As 1 of nine kids,we were never hungry , unclothed,unhappy or lacking love.Us boys were never allowed friends on the property, but the girls were.He was a solid worker and good provider regardless of his strong rules. We often learn't from watching him, how to do many practical things that have helped thru our adult lives. For this we are grateful. Nigel jenkins
