Elmer E. Ellis died in Berlin township, this county, last week.
He was father of Hon. A. A. Ellis, formerly of Ionia. Among others of a large family of children who survive him are two sons, one of whom is judge of the supreme court of Kansas, and another who is congressman from a district of Missouri.
Mr. Ellis was 85 years of age. He died from a stroke of paralysis.
A sister of Mrs. Ellis came to the funeral from Bellevue and while at her sister's she, too, was stricken with the same disease and died before she could be taken home.[3]
