Biography

Philip Ellis was born on 23 January 1853 in Frant, Sussex, his father, Thomas ELLIS Jun., was 35 and his mother, Anne, was 31. He married Louisa Barnett in 1875 in Tonbridge, Kent. They had five children in 11 years. He died on 30 November 1940 in Redruth, Cornwall, at the age of 87.
