John Ellis Sr was born in 1626 in England, He married Elizabeth Joanes, John died before 06 Nov 1669 in Maryland, USA,

Extra Notes

• The former servant of George Puddington, who transported him fromVirginia to Maryland in November/December 1649. The completion date ofhis indenture is undetermined and may never be known, due to the totaldestruction by fire of the Anna Arundel County records in 1702. However,he must have attained his freedom very soon after coming to Maryland. Drilled with the Kent Isle Militia in 1658.
