Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1860 in Hempnall, Norfolk, England, the son of William and Elizabeth Ellis. [1]

2 April 1871 Census Elizabeth Ellis (11) of Hempnall, Norfolk, was living with parents William (57) of Hempnall, Norfolk, and Elizabeth (49), and siblings Susan (17) of Hempnall, Norfolk, and William (9) of Hempnall, Norfolk, in Hempnall, Norfolk.[2]

3 April 1881 Census Elizabeth Ellis (21) of Hempnall, Norfolk, was living with father William (61) of Hempnall, Norfolk, widower, veterinary surgeon and farmer of 10 acres employing 1 man, and siblings Fanny (31) of Hempnall, Norfolk, housekeeper, and William (19) of Hempnall, Norfolk, assistant, at Old Fairstead, Hempnall, Norfolk.[3]
