Moved this here since primary sources do not agree with the assertions made in this book.
“Thomas Ellison, second son of Lawrence Ellison, born 1622, died at Jamaica, Long Island, in 1697. He married Martha Champion, and had children, Thomas, John, Grace, Mary, Elizabeth and Martha.”[5]

As to evidence of his marriage, he refers to "Tho Chamin" as his "feathar in law" in a deed dated 29 May 1665, giving him 7 acres at Marecock, being part of a lot that had been Thomas Armitage, later granted to Francis Weekes and by him granted to William Jackocks and Thomas Ellison. https://archive.org/details/cu31924092207764/page/171/mode/1up?view=theater
By the way, it looks like the middle name "Honor" for his wife is in error. It looks like a conflation of his wife with the wife of their son Thomas who was named Honor ___, per Martha Champion's profile.
Maybe someone can speak about this discrepancy. The will of Thomas Ellison (dated?) 7 April 1697, probated 23 May 1697 but his death date shows AFTER probation 11 Oct 1697.
