At a Mo Meeting held at Edward Mosby’s the 5th day of 1st mo 1719 [March 5, 1720].
Andrew Crew and Hanah Elyson did at this meeting publish their intentions of marriage the first time. Wm Lead and Robt Crew are appointed to inquire into the clearness of the sd Andrew and Elizabeth Jordan and Agathy Elyson are appointed to inquire into the clearness of the sd Hannah and ------ of a ----- their report to our next Mo Meeting.
Att a Mo Meeting held at Edwd Mosby’s the 2 day of the 2 mo 1720 [April 2, 1720].
The parties appointed to inquire into the clearness of sd Andrew Crew and Hanah Elyson made reports to this meeting that they know nothing to the contrart but that they were cleare from all other on acct of marig was therefore liberated to proceed in their aforesaid intentions who did at this meeting publicly ---- the ---- the ------- to the sd order of friends and have ------ this meeting to take each other in marig ----------- friends -------....
Benjamin Jonson and Wm Lead are ordered to attend the marig of Andrew Crew and Hanah Elyson to see good order.
Att a Mo Meeting held at Edwd Mosby’s the seventh day of 3rd mo 1720 [May 3, 1720].
Whereas Andrew Crew son of John Crew of Charles City County and Hanah Elyson daughter of Grd. Robt Elyson of New Kent County have proposed their intentioins of marig before two several meetings of the people in scorn called Quakers who after due inquire of their clearness and it appearing to the -------- they were cleare from all others on acct of marig and that the relations of the sd Andrew and Hanah have consented to their marig and give consent that the parties should accomplish their intentions wee therefore whose names are underwritten do certify all whom it may concern that said Andrew Crew and the sd Hanah Elyson did at a publick meeting held of aforesaid people in their meeting house in Charles City County the 12 day of the 2 mo 1720 [April 12, 1720]. Then and their take each other for wife and husband he the sd Andrew taking her the sd Hanah by the hand declaring that in the presence of God and before this meeting I take Hanah Elyson for my weded wife as long as we shall both live and then the sd Hanah then and their likewise declaring that in the presence of God and before this meeting I take Andrew Crew for my weded husband as long as wee shall both lived and for the confirmation I thee of the sd Andrew Crew and Hanah Elyson do set to their hand and wee who here named are underwritten are their witnesses.

It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Hannah:
Ellyson-189 and Ellyson-31 appear to represent the same person because: Come on... they literally show as sisters (ok, half) with the same exact father! How can sisters have the same name and the same husband? Just figure out how to spell his name... and they have the same son! Then figure out her birth date - and done!
Hannah (Ellyson) Crew has become conflated with her daughter Hannah (Crew) Shields. All comments and references to Hannah Shields Vaughn should be moved to her daughters profile Crew-147.
Parents are Gerrard Robert Ellyson II, born about 1676 and died December 16, 1749. Married Sarah Spence about 1700. The attached mother in incorrect. There are three generations of Gerard Robert Ellyson and they have been jumbled up and have lots of incorrect attachments. The parents were changed last year without any source and never corrected.
