Joseph was a Friend (Quaker) who attended the Henrico Monthly Meeting in Virginia
Joseph was the son of Robert Ellyson and his wife, Sarah (Crews) Ellyson.
Joseph and Mary Binford declared their intention to marry (the second time the declaration had been made) at the Henrico, Virginia, Monthly Meeting of Friends [Quakers] on 5 May 1744.[1] The Quaker records identify Joseph as "son of Robert." Mary was "daughter of John."[2][3]
Previously, this profile was connected to Gerrard Robert Ellyson as his father; Gerrard Robert is Joseph's grandfather. His father is Robert, Gerrard Robert's eldest son. Joseph has now been connected to the correct father. His mother's profile is pending (he was previously connected to his grandmother as his mother).
