Advocate (Burnie, Tas. : 1890 - 1954) Sat 1 Mar 1941 - Late Mrs. Susan Haberle, Devonport. The funeral of the late Mrs. Susan Jane Haberle, who passed away in the Devon Hospital, took place in the Devonport general cemetery. The burial service was read by Captain Preston, of the Salvation Army, of which deceased was a keen follower for many years. Two of her favorite hymns, "A Land That Is Fairer Than Day," and "Abide With Me," were sung. The late Mrs. Haberle was born at the Needles, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Elmer. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. The chief mourners were Mr. Charles Haberle, widower: two daughters, Mrs. A. Costello, and Mrs. E. Lamprell: and son, Harold. Deceased left a family of five daughters and two sons, the daughters being Mrs. Costello (Flowerdale), Mrs. Short (New South Wales), Mrs. Warne and Mrs. Bell (Victoria), and Mrs. Lamprell (East Devonport). The sons are Messrs. Harold Haberle (Wesley Vale), and Herbert Haberle (Victoria). The carriers were Messrs. Mervyn and Aubrey Haberle and two sons-in-law, Messrs. A. Costello and E. Lamprell. There were many floral tributes.
