Jakob Elmer wurde am 22 Juni 1707 in Glarus, Glarus, Schweiz als Sohn von Hans Urlich Elmer und Elisabetha Milt geboren. Er war mit Margaretha Weiss verheiratet und verstarb am 4 Dezember 1740.[1]
