Biography

When Samuel Elmer was born on December 12, 1705, in Windsor, Connecticut, his father, Joseph, was 27 and his mother, Jane, was 27. He had two sons and two daughters and several infants with Susannah Gilman. Samuel was one of the first settlers of the Long Hill district of South Windsor. He died from being overheated while trying to put out a fire in the woods on 24 August 1761, at the age of 55.
