Hiram was born about 1816.

In 1850, Hiram and Polly Elmore were in Lee County, Iowa with children Henry, Louisa, Franklin and Cynthia.[2]

In 1860, Hyrum and Mary Elmore lived in Payson, Utah with eight children in the household.[3]

He passed away about 1909.[4][5]

Research Notes

Hiram may have had more than one wife during his lifetime, as his oldest son Henry was born around 1841, when wife Mary Huffman would have been about 12. Also, in 1850 census, Hiram's wife Polly was said to be born in Ohio, whereas his 1860 wife "Mary" was born in Virginia.

Elmer-2571 and Elmer-506 appear to represent the same person because: the birth and death information is consistent; spouses are the same as well. Note: I think Hiram may have married more than one woman in his lifetime, as his oldest son Henry was born around 1841, when Mary Huffman was about 12; also, the 1850 census says his wife Polly was born in Ohio, whereas in 1860, wife Mary was born in Virginia.
