The birth of Rachel Elwell was not recorded, however it is widely accepted that she was the daughter of John Elwell and Jane Durin, and was born about 1674 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.[1][2]
Rachel married Sgt. Joseph Haskell on 19 Mar 1695/96 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachussetts.[3][4][5] Joseph was the son of William Haskell II and Mary Browne.[6][7]

Rachel's date of death is unknown, but her husband's 3rd marriage was recorded in Apr 1732.[2][5]
