Biography
When Elias ELY was born in 1821 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, his father, Barton, was 28 and his mother, Nancy, was 29. He married Jerusha W. BILLINGSLEY on November 9, 1845, in Claiborne County, Tennessee. They had eight children in 18 years. He died in 1880 in Tazewell, Tennessee, at the age of 59.
