Biography

He was supposedly the founder of Kirkoswald Castle.

Alan the son of Waldeof gave Ruthwait and the third part of the wastes of Ishall to Gamel le Brun Lord of Bothil, ad tertiam partem unius villa. And he gave the principal mannor of Ishall, cum pertinentiis Blencrake and the services of Newton to Radulph Engayne.

Disconnect father

Father Richard was born in 1130, 60 years after Ranulf was born. Since Richard's father was born in 1086, it appears that Richard is not Ranulf's father, and should be disconnected.

Father Richard (Engaine-2) was born in 1130, 60 years after Ranulf was born. Since Richard's father was born in 1086, it appears that Richard is not Ranulf's father, and should be disconnected.
