Mary E., the seventh child of Margaret and John Engle, was born Dec. 26, 1858, at Tekonsha, Mich. Her early years were spent on her father's farm there.
She became the bride of William P. Bacon on Jan. 1, 1877. They made their home in Benton Harbor, Mich. Mr. Bacon is a contractor and builder. He still lives in Benton Harbor. Mrs. Bacon died Oct. 7, 1898.
