Richard Eppes was a Burgess from Chesterfield Co, VA.[1][2][3] He was born 1714 at Bermuda Hundred, Chesterfield Co, VA.[4] Richard was the son of Colonel Francis Eppes, of Henrico, who died in 1734, resided in Chesterfield county, and was burgess for that county in the assemblies of 1752-1755, 1756-1758, 1759-1761, 1761-1765. He died in 1764. Married Martha, daughter of Robert Bolling.

1757 William Eppes of Massachusetts Bay Gent and (his brother) Richard Eppes Gent of Chesterfield county, for 5 shillings Virginia current money of Virginia, all that land being in Henrico on the north side of the James river, commonly known by the name of Longfield, containing 608 acres, and an adjoining tract of land commonly known as Hudd--, being the lands that were devised to the said William from his brother Francis dec'd[5]

Richard Eppes died in 1756 at Bermuda Hundred, Chesterfield Co, VA. His will is recorded in Chesterfield county, and disposes of a large estate.[6]
