Obituary: Mrs. Anderson Pioneer of Adams Community. Mother of Arne and Ed Anderson over 87 years of age at death. Adams Review. The Funeral services for Mrs. Ingeborg Anderson, who passed away at her home in Northfield, were held at the Little Cedar Church last Saturday afternoon, Rev. Alfred Breivik officiating. A quartette composed of Mrs. Torgerson, Miss Anderson, Mr. Sathre and Mr. Anfinson, sang two very beautiful anthems. A great number of people turned out to pay their tribute of love and respect for tho departed. Her body was laid to rest in Little Cedar Cemetery. Mrs. Ingeborg Aaberg Anderson was born in Sogn, Norway, May 25, 1841. Her parents were Erick Aaberg and Margarette Aaberg, nee Laa. Here she spent her girlhood days and grew to womanhood. At the age of 20 she was married to Hans Anderson Naverseth. This union was blessed with 14 children, 9 whom are still living. In 1867 she came with her husband and three small children to Dane county, Wisconsin. They spent 7 weeks in crossing the ocean coming in a sailship. In 1869 they moved to Adams, Minn. where together with her family she experienced the hardships of pioneer days. Her husband died 18 years ago. She resided in this village until about 13 years ago when she moved to Northfield, Minnesota to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Gust Carlson. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed a good health until about a year ago, when she began to fail. She was taken seriously ill with a stroke Monday morning, October 15th and died Wednesday at 2:00 pm October 17, 1928 reaching the age of 87 years, 4 months and 22 days. She leaves to mourn her loss nine children: Mrs. E. A. Knutson, Hettinger, N.D., Arne Anderson, Grand Meadow, Minn,. Mary Anderson Northfield, MN.; Mrs. Gust Carlson, Northfield, Minn; Eddie Anderson Grand Meadow, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Larson, Marion, N.D., Henry Anderson, Grand Meadow, Minn.; Carl Anderson, Marion, N.D., 28 grandchildren and 12 great- grand children. To them the many friends extend their heartfelt sympathy.
